We picked up the coastal path at Porthleven and walked the mile or so along the coast line to Loe Bar.
It's a bank of sand and shingle that cuts off the old estuary and now separates the sea from Loe Pool, which stretches over a mile inland.
On the walk back we took this shot of our view, with Porthleven in the distance in the centre and the Penwith Peninsula to the left.
